Artist Bio

Activist and pioneer of the graffiti movement in Strasbourg, Jaek El Diablo began painting in 1993. A true jack-of-all-trades, he experimented with various techniques: spray paint, computer graphics, screen printing, and more. Jaek's works are influenced by New York graffiti culture & American vintage pop art blending comics, cartoons, and typography. Rooted in Hip Hop culture his creative process is based on "sampling". He remixes, repurposes, and pays graphic homage while working on a variety of mediums: walls, canvases, clothing, and objects. He visits New York City every summer and  his schedule fills up quick.
